Whoppers Cookies

This weekend has been a stress-free, fun break I needed desperately. Max came to see me (YAY!), we visited his parents, then came back to Starkville to see his cousin’s band, Edenezer Goodman, rock out at Dave’s Dark Horse Tavern Saturday night!

But since Max was coming, I had to get a treat for him. It’s just something I do pretty much every time he comes to visit. So I got a box of his favorite candy, Whoppers. See, I wasn’t much of a Whopper’s fan until Max. They were just always, I don’t know, weird to me, but now I love them!

Max left his candy at my house(😈), and I just happened to have half of a tube of cookie dough left. Whoppers are good, chocolate chip cookies are good, so I just did the math. = GOOD

You could really use any kind of cookie dough – sugar, snickerdoodle, etc.

This cookie dough said to preheat the oven to 350*.

I flattened a little ball of dough and just stuck the whopper in the middle, and rolled in my hands until it was completely covered.

I hate greasing the pan, so I use parchment paper.

I had about a quarter of the box of Whoppers left and half the tube of cookie dough.

The instructions on the dough said to bake 9-13 minutes, then let cool. I made 8 and they only took 9 minutes to bake.

Transfer parchment paper to cooling rack and wait for about ten minutes.

It still tastes like a chocolate chip cookie but with a little treat in the middle!

Well, I’m going to watch Golden Girls and eat all of these cookies now. ¡Adíos!

Love,
